🎯 The Goal
Survive a thrilling solo race against time inside a skyscraper overtaken by terrorists. You must scrounge for weapons, rescue your wife and other hostages, and claw your way up to the roof to defeat the final antagonist before your health or time pool hits zero.
⚙️ Core Actions
The game features a tense card-row management system built entirely around standard six-sided dice combat:
- Draw into the Row: On your turn, reveal cards from the Hunted deck one by one into an active row. Each card lists actions you can use on its left side and a cost to activate it on its bottom right.
- Spend Resource Icons: Discard cards from the row to use their left-hand icons as currency to activate other cards in the row—like discarding grenades or ammo to afford a hallway.
- Manage Noise & Ambushes: If you draw a second terrorist card or accumulate too many loud bell icons in the row, an immediate ambush triggers. You are thrown into combat and must fight the hostiles before taking another turn.
- Roll to Attack: Fight terrorists by rolling standard $d6$ pool combinations. Your available dice pool shifts dynamically based on your current health; damage taken from certain terrorists forces you to lose valuable hostages instead of health.
- Hide to Reset: If the row becomes too dangerous or clogged with enemies, you can take a dedicated action to hide. This discards the entire row safely but directly costs you 1 unit of valuable time.
- Infiltrate the Locations: Activating doors and hallways allows you to draw from a separate Location deck. Digging through this deck is the only way to uncover the hidden Roof card and face the final boss.
🧠 Why you’ll like it
It perfectly translates the high-octane energy of Die Hard into a tight, incredibly clever micro-puzzler. The mechanical interplay of using cards in your row as both items and literal currency creates a fantastic tactical push-your-luck loop. Every card you draw brings you closer to finding tools, but increases the threat of an explosive firefight, keeping you constantly on the edge of your seat.
