🎯 The Goal

Kick down doors, slaughter monsters, and backstab your fellow adventurers to be the very first player to reach Level 10 in a satirical, highly chaotic race for loot and glory.

⚙️ Core Actions

Players take turns navigating a highly unpredictable dungeon ecosystem using card play, trading, and blatant bribery:

  • Kick Down the Door: Flip the top card of the Door deck face-up. If it’s a monster, you must fight it. If it’s a curse, it immediately triggers against you. Any other card type goes straight into your hand.
  • Wage Numerical Combat: Combat is pure arithmetic. Compare your character’s Level plus the bonuses from all your equipped gear (swords, armor, hats) against the monster’s printed level. If your total is higher, you slay the beast, go up a level, and draw its hoard of Treasure cards.
  • Look for Trouble or Loot the Room: If the door card wasn’t a monster, you can either play a monster card directly from your own hand to fight it (“Look for Trouble”), or draw a second Door card face-down into your hand to hoard options (“Loot the Room”).
  • Interfere and Sabotage: During any combat, all other players can freely play cards from their hands to dynamically alter the fight. They can throw potions to buff the monster, play wandering monsters to add an extra boss to the clash, or curse you mid-swing to dissolve your armor.
  • Run Away or Suffer: If your opponents buff a monster beyond your capacity and you cannot bribe anyone at the table to join the fight as an ally, you must roll a die to Run Away. Failing the roll triggers the monster’s “Bad Stuff,” which can strip your levels, destroy your gear, or kill your character entirely.

🧠 Why you’ll like it

It is the ultimate party game of casual betrayal and laugh-out-loud tabletop politics. The mechanics completely strip away the serious roleplaying elements of traditional dungeon crawlers and weaponize player greed—making it a game entirely about cutting fragile alliances only to ruthlessly stab your friends in the back the absolute second they hit Level 9.
