• Manage Light Radiation (Lux): Lux serves as both your physical health pool and your primary resource for activating card abilities. Every tactical action or specialized weapon swing drains your Lux reservoir, forcing you to balance survival against offensive output.
• Illuminate Shifting Enemy Blips: Monsters start as hidden “Shadow Blips” roaming the board. You must physically direct your lanterns and flashlight vectors toward them to illuminate them, forcing the blip to flip over and reveal its true monster identity and specific combat behaviors.
• Fend Off the Citadel Invasion: Automated threats continuously march toward the central Citadel walls along the grid lines. If monsters breach the perimeter, they permanently drain the Citadel’s Prosperity track; if Prosperity drops to zero, the defense fails immediately.
• Absorb Backlash Corruption: Lingering in unlit zones or taking heavy shadow attacks inflicts global Corruption. Corruption alters your character’s passive attributes and introduces harmful card variants straight into your tactical action deck.
• Develop the Citadel Sub-Districts: Between missions, enter a specialized macro-management phase. Spend collected development points to upgrade city facilities, build new architectural districts, and unlock high-tier weapon blueprints for future campaign acts.
