🎯 The Goal

Command a whimsical army of childhood toys—ranging from fire-breathing dinosaurs to rubber duck warriors—to outmaneuver your opponent, conquer valuable map territories, or launch a direct assault to capture the enemy’s headquarters.

⚙️ Core Actions

Designed by Paolo Mori and Alessandro Zucchini, the game is a fast-paced, cutthroat, two-player abstract tactical battle played on variable maps:

  • Manage Your Tactical Tile Rack: Keep a hidden pool of troop tiles on your wooden rack. On your turn, you must choose between drawing two new tiles to replenish your hand or deploying a single tile directly onto the grid.
  • Build Continuous Supply Lines: When placing a toy tile, it must form a continuous path of connected bases leading all the way back to your own starting castle, rewarding careful spatial blocking and territory mapping.
  • Overpower with Unit Strength: To seize a base occupied by an enemy, your newly placed tile must feature a higher printed strength value than theirs. However, unique units break the rules—like Hook the pirate monkey, who can parachute into any base regardless of supply paths.
  • Unleash Whimsical Special Abilities: Exploit asymmetric character traits upon placement. Use Soldiers to instantly draft extra reinforcements, Robots to fire ranged strikes, or Kwak the Viking Duck, who can instantly crush any high-value enemy unit but is incredibly fragile to counter-attacks.
  • Encircle Medals for Points: Strategically map out your movements to surround targeted structural regions. If your tokens successfully form a closed loop around a regional boundary, you instantly claim the victory stars within.

🧠 Why you’ll like it

It looks like a cozy, lighthearted family game on the surface, but underneath lies a razor-sharp tactical puzzle that plays out like a frantic, toy-box version of Diplomacy or Go. The combination of variable maps, hidden hand management, and high-impact unit abilities ensures that every 15-minute duel is packed with clever bluffs and sudden reversals. It is an exceptionally tight, zero-bloat abstract strategy game that is incredibly easy to teach but rewards deep, creative positioning.
